Business Days Calculator Online

This free business days calculator helps you find the number of working days between two dates. It counts the selected date range inclusively and separates working days from the weekdays you mark as non-working days. For a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule, leave Saturday and Sunday selected.

Use this working days calculator for project planning, delivery schedules, payroll planning, contract timelines, school or office schedules, and other date-based tasks. It is also useful when you need to calculate weekdays between dates without manually counting each day.

US and UK date planning: the calculator can be used for US or UK date ranges and lets you choose a custom weekly schedule. It does not automatically subtract federal, bank, or public holidays, so holiday dates should be checked separately when an exact business-calendar result is required.

How to Use the Business Days Calculator

  1. Select the Start Date and End Date.
  2. Keep Saturday and Sunday selected for a typical Monday-to-Friday workweek.
  3. Select additional non-working weekdays if your schedule uses a different weekly pattern.
  4. Click Calculate Business Days to see working days, non-working days, and total calendar days.

How Business Days Are Calculated

The calculator checks every calendar date from the start date through the end date. If the date falls on a selected non-working weekday, it is counted as a non-working day. Otherwise it is counted as a business day or working day. Both the start and end dates are included in the calculation.

Working Days Between Two Dates

A working days calculation is often used when a task, project, payment, delivery, or administrative process depends on weekdays rather than calendar days. The result can differ from a simple days-between-dates calculation because weekends or other selected weekdays are excluded.

Business Days, Weekends and Public Holidays

Weekends and public holidays are not the same thing. This tool allows you to exclude recurring weekdays, but it does not maintain a country-specific public-holiday calendar. For US or UK business planning, review the relevant holiday calendar separately when holidays need to be excluded.

Common Uses

  • Count working days between two dates.
  • Calculate weekdays for project and deadline planning.
  • Estimate business-day duration for deliveries or administrative tasks.
  • Check a date range using a custom weekly work schedule.
  • Compare calendar days with working days.
