Salary Calculator Online
A salary calculator helps you understand how one pay amount translates into different pay periods. Enter an annual, monthly, weekly, daily, or hourly salary, choose your currency, and the calculator estimates the equivalent amounts using standard annualisation assumptions. This makes it useful for comparing job offers, checking payroll figures, budgeting, or understanding an hourly rate from a yearly salary.
Annual, Monthly, Weekly, Bi-Weekly and Hourly Salary
For a simple salary conversion, the calculator first converts the entered amount to an annual figure. Monthly pay is annual pay divided by 12, weekly pay uses 52 weeks, and bi-weekly pay uses 26 pay periods. For hourly pay, the calculation uses your selected working hours per week and 52 weeks per year. Daily pay is estimated using 260 working days per year, which represents a five-day workweek before holidays and leave are considered.
Salary Calculator for the US, UK, India and Other Countries
This international salary calculator supports common currencies used by people comparing compensation in the United States, United Kingdom, India, Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, China, Switzerland and South Africa. Selecting a currency changes how the result is displayed; it does not fetch live exchange rates or convert USD to GBP, INR to USD, or one currency into another.
Take-Home Pay and Tax Estimate
The estimated net take-home amount is calculated by subtracting the percentage entered under Tax & Deductions from the annual salary. This is intentionally a simple estimate rather than a country-specific tax calculator. Actual income tax, National Insurance, Social Security, provident fund contributions, benefits, pension deductions and other payroll items can depend on location, tax year, filing status, income type and employer rules.
How to Use the Salary Calculator
- Enter your salary amount for the pay period you know.
- Select your currency, such as USD, GBP or INR.
- Choose Annual, Monthly, Weekly, Daily or Hourly pay.

Examples of Salary Calculations
For example, a salary of ₹50,000 per month equals ₹600,000 per year before estimated deductions. With 40 working hours per week, the corresponding hourly estimate is based on 52 weeks. The same calculation method can be displayed in USD, GBP, EUR or another supported currency when the amount is already expressed in that currency.

Important Calculation Note
Salary conventions differ between employers and countries. A bi-weekly salary is represented as annual salary divided by 26, while a UK user may call a two-week pay period “fortnightly.” Daily salary uses a 260-working-day assumption, and hourly salary uses the weekly-hours value entered above. Public holidays, unpaid leave, overtime, bonuses, commissions, pension contributions and country-specific payroll rules are not automatically included.
